We are a family run small business located Grafton, Nova Scotia.
When we purchased the property in November 2021 we knew we wanted to open a store, but we were not sure when or what we were going to open.
It all started to come together when we were researching the history of the building. The people of the community shared many stores of their Memories of the Old Mahar Store and how they would get sweets and treats with the family and friends while getting supplies. The original general store was the hub of the community.
In todays day and age openings a general store was not a realistic goal, but sweets are treats was something we knew about. So we started with the simple idea of bringing the best from us to you.
We put lots of love and careful thought into all we create and sell. We hope you enjoy all we have to offer, and share the experience with others.
